With a stylish bar and restaurant, Clayton Hotel Cardiff offers modern rooms with free WiFi. The hotel is adjacent to Cardiff Central Rail Station, and the Principality Stadium is 300 metres away. I stayed here for one night during the Easter break. The staff were very nice and helpful during checkin and checkout I checked in at around 11pm at night and my room was still available with no issues. I was assigned room 1006 which is a corner room that offers great views of Cardiff high street that has lots of bars and restaurants. The room itself superseded my expectations. It was clean, modern, all amenities were as per expected. The kettle didn't have the white stuff on it that is common with many hotels. The sleep quality was amazing, I couldn't hear any noise from the bars, cars or people outside. There were two robes, clean bathroom with enough bathroom essentials like soap and shampoo. I also had breakfast at the hotel and they had a good selection. Obviously all English breakfast items were available and a selection of breads, fruits and hot & cold drinks. The coffee was great. There were no delays for lifts either. Basically I had a great stay here, its value for money and I would absolutely recommend. I loved it so much I wanted to extend my stay but all rooms were booked except 2 which were almost double the price from the prior night. Since I was new to Cardiff the staff offered suggestions of places to visit and they were also helpful with the WiFi issues on my side of the building. You won't regret it here.

In the heart of the city centre, the 21-storey Radisson Blu Hotel offers panoramic city views, air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi. Cardiff Central Rail Station is close by. Booking.com got the booking information wrong and booked two rooms for single use instead of two twin rooms for four people. But Radisson hotel staff were extremely helpful in rectifying the error.

FAQs about hotels in Cardiff

The Pride of Wales

网上体彩投注appCapital of Wales, Cardiff is a wonderfully green city steeped in national pride. At its heart is enormous Bute Park, divided by the River Taff and named after the marquis that once lived in Cardiff Castle overlooking it. In fact, this is just one of 5 castles within the surrounding area.

Over the road is Cathays Park, a beautiful square flanked by Edwardian architectural masterpieces including Cardiff City Hall and the excellent National Museum of Wales. Another must-see is St Fagan’s National History Museum, one of Britain’s top attractions.

From Victorian arcades to the fabulous St David’s Centre, shopping in Cardiff is a delight. And there’s no shortage of pubs and restaurants in which to rest awhile. Those by Cardiff Bay offer particularly pleasant views.

Also by the bay are the futuristic National Assembly for Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre. Another year 2000 landmark is the Millennium Stadium, a state-of-the-art venue for international rugby and football matches, as well as concerts. Next door is Cardiff Arms Park, home to the city’s rugby union team, while Cardiff City FC’s new stadium is in the west.

Cardiff Airport is further west near Barry and Booking.com have an excellent range of hotels, B&Bs and apartments both near there and in the city centre.
